Fuku.AI, a Singapore-headquartered AI recruitment platform built on a SaaS model, has raised SGD 1.1 million (about USD 0.85 million) in a pre-seed round backed by a family office and angel investors.

The company launched its beta in June 2025 and has since drawn more than 190 SMEs as users, with a waitlist of over 500 companies. Fuku was founded by Kevin Gao, a recruitment industry veteran whose career includes firms such as LHH and Spring Professional, and Kai Yang, a Harvard-educated AI engineer.

What sets the platform apart

Fuku differentiates through a proprietary resume-matching model with deep contextual understanding, paired with multi-channel candidate outreach powered by an LLM assessment engine. Recruiters can connect their WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and email accounts to reach candidates directly from inside the platform.

"Small and medium-sized enterprises need affordable, efficient recruitment solutions tailored to today's fast-evolving job market. Our SaaS platform delivers enterprise-grade capabilities at accessible costs." — Kevin Gao, CEO of Fuku.AI

With the new funding, Fuku plans to expand into Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia, targeting USD 1 million in annual recurring revenue within the following year.
