Fuku.AI, the Singapore-headquartered startup building agentic recruitment tools for SMEs across Asia, has announced the general availability of Fiona — an AI interview co-worker designed to make early-stage hiring faster, fairer, and more transparent.

Fiona runs fully autonomous video interviews of around ten minutes, using a friendly, life-like avatar. She asks focused questions, follows up dynamically based on a candidate's answers, and then produces a clear summary showing exactly where each candidate stands. Rather than leaving applicants in the dark, Fiona gives them a transcript, a list of their key strengths, and an explanation of how their responses were assessed — so candidates keep visibility into their own application journey. Candidates can also apply directly to job postings, and Fiona reaches out autonomously to the strongest matches.

"Fiona is obsessed with fairness and efficiency. Every candidate gets the same structured experience, the same level of attention, and the same transparent evaluation." — Kevin Gao, CEO of Fuku.AI

Built for high-volume roles

Fiona is aimed at the high-volume positions SMEs hire for most — sales, engineering, and back-office functions. Integrated with ATS and HRIS platforms and powered by LLM orchestration, she reaches out to candidates, screens them, and returns digestible reports with a clear recommendation: proceed, hold, or reject. The goal is to remove hours, or even days, of manual first-round screening so hiring managers can focus on decisions rather than filtering.

Fuku emphasizes that the experience is consistent by design. From the first question, candidates understand how they're being evaluated, and managers can trust that each recommendation is backed by clear, objective data. Fiona is now available globally, with early traction among SMEs across Southeast Asia.
